When in doubt, underexpose the photo, 'cause you'll be able to regain most of the detail. But if the photo's overexposed, the details are lost forever. The general rule of thirds. Most cameras and phones have a grid, try to place the most important aspect on one of the four intersections. Charge all the batteries. Although it may seem like a boring tip, this is a useful one. Having multiple charged batteries ensures that you'll be capturing a once-in-a-lifetime sunset, that candid shot of your family, or the gorgeous hotel that you're staying in. We usually carry at least two extra batteries for each device, and make sure to pack all the chargers and cords necessary. It's all about perspective. A lot of people will be visiting the hotel you're staying at, or the beach you're walking on. But how many will be laying on the ground to get the perfect shot? We found that looking at things from multiple perspectives enables us to create and original and unique photograph. So get down on the ground, look up, look down, look everywhere, and get a different view than you're used to. Bring the necessities and narrow it down. I love to have mobility to trek to remote places and not worry about my back breaking. This also forces us to get creative with smaller parameters in terms of gear. Insurance. I have had all my gear stolen off a rooftop during a shoot in New York City. Thankfully, State Farm saved the day. Connect with others. Talk to locals. It can be easy to stay at a hostel with other international travelers, but look into a local bed and breakfast, or an Airbnb where you're renting a room in a house with others, so you can get to know the culture on a deeper level. If you see something while shooting in the street, it never hurts to ask someone to take their portrait. I've always regretting not asking, but I've never regretted asking. Bring your camera everywhere.

This should be implicit, but heat-stroke is a thing. Especially in hot season i.e. March to May. Try to drink more than you sweat.
Which will likely be way, way, way more than you expect! Tip #31. Beware of scammers. This again is one of the best-known Bangkok travel tips! If an overly happy smiley local approaches you and wants to introduce you to a specific store or restaurant, don't go! It's almost certainly a scam. Tip #32. Carry a hotel card with Thai language directions. In case you get hopelessly lost, this can be your way back to the hotel. Whenever I travel to foreign cities I always make sure that I have a hotel card with me as a plan B. Tip #33. You'll be discriminated against - officially. Many attractions, and pretty much all National Parks, have two entry prices. One rate for the Thai, and a far more expensive rate for foreigners. There's not much that can be done, or said, about this other than to pay if you want to visit the attraction. Tip #34. Try an organized tour. This is the final item on my list of 34 Bangkok travel tips. TripAdvisor and The Lonely Planet are awesome. I have used them both extensively. That said, a tour is inexpensive and easily arranged. Simply book and show up. No logistical headaches, no getting lost, just a wonderful day out that peels back another exciting layer of The City of Angels. Tour guides are also a great resource to learn about Thailand, and the Thai people. Click on the link in this video's description to arrange a bespoke Bangkok tour. Anyway...that's it for this video. I hope that helps give you helpful Bangkok travel tips. Expect a new video next week. For all you techies out there, this video was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, and edited using HitFilm Express. Finally, please don't forget to subscribe to this channel through the button below! Also, I'd like to hear from you if you have any questions on one or more of the 34 Bangkok travel tips. Maybe you have some tips that I missed! Please do reach out to me through the comments section of this video! Thank you very much for watching. I'll see you next week. Goodbye. For what it's worth, I recommend Roberto Reggio which is right next to Nana BTS station. The owner is a Sikh chap called Bobby, and I have been buying suits and shirts from him for about 15 years now.
All of the friends that I have taken to his shop have been very pleased with the suits/shirts/dresses that they had made up. I should really get a commission for all the business that I have pushed his way! Tip #23. When you order several dishes they won't all come out at once. When you eat a Thai meal with other people, it's meant to be shared. This means that you must order several dishes for the meal. However, don't expect all the food to come out at the same time! Bringing out all plates at once is a Western concept. In Thailand the food comes out when it's ready. This can mean a gap of up to 20-30 minutes for certain dishes. Tip #24. The tap water in Bangkok is safe to drink [though bottled water is probably better]. Check out a video I did on; Is Bangkok tap water safe to drink? A link to this video can be found through the 'i-icon' above. Tip #25. Don't touch an adult on the head. Frankly I don't know why anyone would do this, but be aware that the head is considered sacred in Thailand. It shouldn't be touched unless the Thai person in question is a lover or someone that you're extremely close to. One other thing; try not to point your feet at people as this is also considered extremely rude. If you're sitting directly across someone while talking, point your feet off to the side a bit to avoid being disrespectful. Tip #26. Food carts are generally safe. For visitors that have not experienced Asia, this is one of the most surprising Bangkok travel tips. My rule of thumb is that if a food cart has plenty of Thai diners, it's probably safe to eat at. There have been numerous occasions where I have seriously questioned the food safety, but touch wood I have never gotten sick from Thai street food. Interestingly, it was a Burger King burger many years ago that, literally, made me wish for death. Tip #27. Negotiate the price. Outside of department stores and restaurants you should not be shy to negotiate the price of what you're buying. At markets, or stalls in places like MBK, you should never accept the first price that you're given! Tip #28. Sex shows. Frankly the sex shows in Patpong are gross - I won't go into details but they feature ping-pong balls, razor blades, darts and balloons and a whole lot more. The first show I saw blew my mind. I had no idea that the vagina was capable of such feats. That said, it's a life experience to check off the list, and never do again. Tip #29. Use Google maps. Bangkok is confusing. After living her for nearly 19 years I still regularly get lost. Google maps is your friend, and the single best way to find what you're looking for. If you're just off the plane get a tourist sim so you can access Google maps through your smart phone. For more details on tourist sims, check out a video I did on; [Tourist SIM Thailand] How to buy a prepaid Thai SIM card in Bangkok? A link to this video can be found through the 'i-icon' above. Tip #30. Drink plenty of water. We are going to be talking about gambling, because I've noticed that there are a lot of trash arguments from Christians online, I've seen many of them, that say that gambling is a sin and they could not be more wrong. Now all of you know that I live in Las Vegas, but I want you to understand this the Bible actually doesn't say that gambling is a sin.
Now the Bible does mention not loving money in 1st Timothy, and you're not supposed to desire money gained dishonestly - that's in Proverbs 13. But that would be through like cheating, deception, or theft, all which could happen when gambling, but you can also have honest games too. Not every game is rigged and in Las Vegas, and in the state of Nevada, we do have the Gaming Commission to make sure that casinos aren't cheating people, that slot machines actually do pay out money. And people gamble for a multitude of reasons. Now I know that there's a lot of old people here in Las Vegas that don't have family, because their family is either back from wherever they came from, and they came to Nevada because taxes are low, so they came here to retire. Or maybe they didn't have children lucky nugget new zealand. Maybe they never got married ,so they go to the casinos. And the casinos actually will come pick them up from 55 and over communities or from old people communities, and it gives them something to do. That's their thing. They go hang out with friends, they spend the day gambling, they have lunch, they go see a movie, they go shopping, and then the casino picks them back up and drop some back off at home. And that's their social time, whereas they would just be rotting away in their little apartment by themselves just watching TV all day. Other people do it for fun, other people do it for camaraderie, some people love being able to run numbers in their head, or they like the skill or the chance, or they just like the adrenaline rush of like, "oh I I think this is going to happen." And if you can afford it, that's okay. My in-laws - they love to come to Las Vegas and they'll set a limit for themselves, "I'm going to spend X amount of dollars gambling and when I lose it, I'm done." And that's totally fine. That's their version of entertainment. So again, people gamble for a multitude of reasons, but just like anything - allowing it to turn into an addiction that you support with other sins, such as stealing, lying, something even more crazy like prostituting yourself, or murdering somebody to pay for your gambling, would obviously be wrong. Those are what are sins. But people who tell you that gambling is a sin are adding to God's Word by creating "fence laws," and we've talked about these in other videos. This is where Original Sin came from - where Adam told Eve, "God said don't even TOUCH the fruit or you'll die." And that's not true! He had good intentions, but it showed that he was a liar and then, Eve didn't trust him and then she ate the fruit. I will link that video up here. But anyway, these fence laws are to keep you farther away from other sins, such as drunkenness, or coveting something. And while these people have good intentions, they're adding to God's Word and adding to God's Word is an egregious sin. God says "do not do this." There are stiff penalties for people who add to God's Word, regardless of their motivations. "Do not add to these words or take away from these words." Period! And I want people to understand that talking about probability or chance does not mean that you are somehow against God, or that you don't love God, or that you're engaging in something unscriptural, because if you decide to start a business you're taking a gamble. There's no guarantees in life. Some people - they have kids as a sort of insurance policy against dying alone, or not having an ability to take care of themselves - but there's no guarantees in life. You might be a bad parent, and your kid hates you, so nobody will be around when you're older, or maybe your kid dies before you and you still have nobody to take care of you. These are all things that are left up to chance that you can't control. Whether it's in life, whether it's in business, whether it's in gambling, everything is a chance in life. There are certain things that you will not be able to prepare for. And I think it's really important to understand that even things that Christians say are fine, are different forms of gambling. You don't see preachers saying, "don't go into business! That's gambling!" Or "don't play the stock market! That's gambling!" Or "don't have retirement funds because those are invested in the stock market, and those are a form of gambling!" No! Of course not. That would be a ridiculous thing to say. But when it comes to gambling for fun, you have pastors say a lot of ridiculous nonsensical things - and gambling is one of those areas where people get on their high horses and they say a lot of stuff that isn't biblical, but rather it's the traditions of men. Because nowhere in the Bible does it say that to be a good steward of money you're not allowed to have discretionary income that you use for entertainment purposes. It doesn't say that. And likewise, it's not swindling somebody when they go in knowing the odds are not in their favor that they are going to win. It's not swindling just because they don't get a dollar for dollar return on their bet, because for those of you who don't live in Las Vegas or places near a casino, you have to understand that there's something called comps. And if you play games, you'll have something called a "player's card" and it's almost like just a frequent user card (*loyalty card) and you get points on it. So even though you might lose money, you can use those points for free meals, free shows, free hotel room,s free limo rides, free... just all sorts of stuff. And it's called a player's card. You're getting comped despite the fact that you've lost money. And casinos do a lot of good in the community, not only do they bring in a lot of jobs, but in Las Vegas it gets up to 120°F in the summer. And you can see in the casinos - they are filled with old people. They're hanging out. They're hanging out with their friends, people that like to do the same stuff as they do, and they're in a safe, secure, environment that is filled with security guards, so nobody's going to hurt them. Nobody's going to steal from them. But also, it's one of the few places that they can go and do anything that they want in the comfort of an air-conditioned, adult space. That's the other big thing - it's an adult space for adults. A lot of old people - they don't want to be around kids. A lot of people in general don't want to be around kids, and casinos are providing that for people. And so many casinos are more than just gambling, they're places where you can have a nice meal. They're places where you can have a nice night out, where you have entertainment, where you can go shopping. And not only that, but they do a lot of good for the community. They donate a ton of money. They donate a ton of time and they donate a lot of manpower to nonprofits here in Las Vegas. And all of this would not be possible if it weren't for people gambling. And these people aren't being taken advantage of, they are getting a return for the money that they spent at the tables, or at the slot machines. They're getting a night out. They're getting to have free drinks, whether it's alcohol or not, because they'll give you coffee, juice, tea, whatever you want, as long as you're playing. A lot of people - this is their only form of interaction with other people because they go to the casinos every day. They might just have a coffeem but the bartenders know who they are, or the cashiers know who they are. Or they might go to the buffets and the waitresses know who they are and it's these people are doing the work of keeping these people company. And it really makes these people's day. And it's not just the elderly - this is a lot of people, because a lot of people don't have families. And without these casinos, these people would be completely alone. So they're not just, "oh they're getting taken advantage of! They're being swindled!" Career change ideas usually mean tooling up for some retraining and upgrading of specific skills that enhance your marketability and hire-ability. Unless you’re prepared to go further in debt or find some career advancement programs that are State-funded; this could imply further out-of-pocket expenses for a budget already impacted by job loss and/or reduced household income. Essay help service will help you with paperwork.
If you’ve been job hunting long, you have already been frustrated by the reality that our economy has definitely imploded in certain sectors. Your old position may never come back in quite the way you imagine. It may be time to “re-purpose” your skill set. This implies leveraging and repackaging your career experience in transferable, alternative and creative career avenues that you might not have considered before. One thing is for sure. The Internet is offering unprecedented ways to gain exposure to prospective employers and listing your career resume′ online. Using the web to job prospect and list your bonafides is vital and universal – virtually a necessity if you want to get noticed. Social networking sites, job forums and online information clearing-house web sites can be a boon to the career change seeker. My career change ideas have taken me from simple job replacement to exploring the concepts of three alternative career areas that you might also add to your list of possibilities. Outsourcing and Freelancing The fact is that many companies in today’s global economy have been forced to cut back on their labor pool in hopes of staying competitive and profitable. This has also meant that they outsource job placement and use temporary and part time positions to streamline their workforce. It’s more tolerable holding a part time or unstable temp-job if you can make-the-most of your time spent. Learning “value-added” skills that will hold their own in any career portfolio while (temporarily) stuck in a less-than-ideal job position can either leverage or enhance a situation that would otherwise stall your career progress. If you’re essentially marketing yourself already in basic job search mode, what about re-positioning yourself as an independent contractor rather than simply a job hunter? You “re-frame” yourself as someone that employers can outsource-to, instead of having to hire you as an “employee”. They might find it easier to award you a specific task within a project if they know they’re not committing to a permanent position. When you deliver positively on the contract, who knows what it will lead to? What I’m really talking about here is transitioning to your own business. Check out the freelancing possibilities. The web has introduced unimaginable opportunities inaccessible until now. You can take on various outsourced projects and not even live in the same city as the employer. Once you change your mindset from the “employee mentality’ to being a business owner or independent contractor/freelancer, you might discover all sorts of ways of financing your new-found freelance status. The two other areas I’ve found to be effective income multipliers that can help finance your alternative career path as an independent freelancer are; (internet-based) affiliate marketing and network marketing, or any combination of both that is appropriate to your particular career niche. For instructive online examples of how to creatively add multiplexed revenue streams to your own career change ideas, view the web pages of some contemporaries who are actively pursuing the freelancer lifestyle. Maybe their online efforts will get your creative juices flowing. See how you can adapt their model to help bolster your own career transition. It can be a daunting task for English speaking adults to discover the best practice approaches on how to study for Spanish. It has become increasingly important to learn the language as it is manifestly more and more entwined in cultures and countries across the globe. In some instances it’s being referred to as the second language of choice. If you need essay about Spanish, you can use essay service online.
The uncanny scenario is that most native Spanish speaking individuals can also speak English. In other words they are bilingual. However, the converse is not true. The fact is that most individuals whose native language is English speaks no other language. It is therefore advisable for those of us whose language is English only to also become bilingual just like our Spanish speaking counterparts. Business The business and trade worlds as we know it are getting smaller as a result of better communication methods. Nonetheless these methods are useless if we can’t follow on in each other’s language. Moreover, we won’t be able to recognize and participate in opportunities from those countries. As an example and a topic of interest is the Latin American block where a lot of small to medium business models can be developed for the mutual benefit of all regions. Socializing According to recent population surveys, the United States will have many more Spanish speaking migrants in years to come than they do today. We are already seeing in predominantly English speaking countries signs like “se habla ingles”. In case you didn’t understand the phrase in quotes, it translates – “we speak English here”. Again, that sign speaks volumes it is really telling us (those of us who speak only English), that we are bilingual and you’re not. There are other reasons for becoming bilingual and having Spanish as a second language but too voluminous to be dealt with in this space. It is therefore imperative that we understand how to study for Spanish if we are to adequately converse and or do business with our Spanish speaking neighbors. The following simple method may assist you to learn Spanish easily: (a) Set up a schedule for primary study and stick with it – in other words determine a time of day and length of period suitable to you (eg.1hr.) and discipline yourself to stay with it each day. (b) Find a quiet space to perform task at (a) above. (c ) When you’re comfortable with tasks (a) & (b) above your next step should be some form of interactive Spanish language lesson from a credible source . (d) Visit (if possible) a Spanish speaking country like Latin America or Spain with a view to understanding what you’ve learnt whilst implementing steps (a) to (c ) above – teach yourself Spanish. Finally, repetition is the key to learn Spanish easily. As English speaking individuals it would help if we can also developed a keen interest in the Spanish language, so as to remain head and shoulders with all aspects and opportunities connected therewith. There Are Other Careers In Law Besides That Of An Attorney
Those with a law degree that have not yet decided to practice have other careers in law to choose from. These careers in law take full advantage of what they had worked at so hard to finish. The first of a long list of alternate careers in law deals with the maxim “Those who can’t do, teach”. Teaching law to undergraduates is not just a career option to bide time before finally deciding which career in law to devote to on a full time basis, it’s also a very good way to learn and relearn law as you actually learn more as you prepare to teach. The lessons you might have put on the back burner would once again be in the forefront as you are compelled to re-study them in order to teach the said lessons to your students. In the process, those who teach law would also eventually determine as to what field in law they would actually feel satisfied in, making their careers in law choice an easier one. If you’d rather watch law in action than teach it in order to learn more, being a court reporter may be the right path for you. Court reporters keep the record of the court proceedings by taking down every ‘official’ word said in court by the witnesses, the lawyers and the judge. Court reporters must be able to jot down what is said during hearings at speeds of up to 200 to 300 words per minute. While it may not seem that important, it is one of the more important careers in law. Even the lawyers themselves request copies of the transcripts from the courts. They study it in order to gain a better understanding as how to best approach the case on the next scheduled hearing. The accurate work of the court reporter is also necessary for the appeals court justices when they write their opinions since they also base it on the transcripts of the trial courts as well as what has been argued on appeal. Court reporters also take down depositions and other parts of pretrial proceedings and they are also called upon to take down what is said at public hearings. Alternative training is needed to become proficient at this, but it’s not nearly as long as law school. This choice of careers in law are challenging and needed in the legal system More Alternative Careers In LawAnother of the alternative careers in law to be a legal assistant, or a paralegal. Though many law degree-holders might have already worked under the supervision of licensed attorneys by providing support services such as preparing trial notebooks, assisting in legal research and writing legal briefs or document drafts, being a legal assistant helps a lot in establishing the proper connections once you decide to go into practice or if you seek to join a well-established law firm. If you have what it takes to be a law enforcement agent, or would like to work alongside with them, a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms (ATF), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Secret Service or the U.S. Marshal Service might suit you. The work of Federal U.S. law enforcement officers differs from the traditional law enforcement practiced by most police officers because their authority in dealing with federal crimes extends throughout the United States and their work often relates to specialized types of crimes. Many Options in Careers In LawBeing a lawyer isn’t for everyone. We have only scratched the surface in discussing the various choices for careers in law aside from becoming an attorney. The above options are just a few to investigate before making a decision in the various alternative careers in law. Plenty of Attorney Categories for Careers In Law There are plenty of careers in law to choose from after one passes the bar exam and earns themselves the right to affix ‘ATTY.’ to their name. Much like in the field of medicine, there are different fields of specialization to choose from. There are different types of lawyers specializing for the different areas in law that can help in that specific type of case required by a client. General practitioners may be a dime a dozen, but it sure helps to be a lawyer whose focus is a specific area to increase the chances of winning the case. Here are a few of the different careers in law that one can opt to specialize in. Business lawyers are the best chums of small to medium scale entrepreneurs who are starting out. They are the consultants that are able to explain to upcoming businesspeople the legality of their business practices in regards to taxes, wage rates, benefits mandated by law for employees and probable business limitations. Though many business lawyers today are rather vague with their job descriptions, they are still adept in handling a variety of topics related to businesses. This is one of the best careers in law if you like helping businesspeople. Being a Civil Lawyer Can Be One Of the Most Rewarding Careers in Law Civil lawyers specialize in civil and domestic disputes. This is one of the careers in law that deals with cases that are not formally classified as a crime. Civil lawyers are there to help settle disputes between parties and often determine how much a situation is worth. Most of the cases they deal with involve damaged properties and even missing pets if need be. Civil lawyers can be one of the more financially rewarding careers in law. However, civil lawyers should not be confused with family lawyers. That is another career in law a private practitioner may choose to specialize in. Family lawyers are those that handle concerns within the family, nuclear and extended. The cases can range from divorce to child custody issues and even last will and testaments. Family lawyers themselves also tend to specialize in a single specific sub-field such as divorce, annulment or child custody. This is one of the careers in law where you need to be more than strictly a lawyer, as you are often dealing with delicate subjects and emotions. Immigration lawyers handle cases involving immigrating to a new country. They often deal with the extension of stay of immigrants with green cards or visas who are in the country legally within the period of time stated in the card they bear. Those who hold a green card or visa and find themselves in any sort of legal trouble seek immigration lawyers. This can be the most rewarding of the careers in law for those that want to help people become citizens. Criminal defense attorneys perhaps best exemplify what being a lawyer is all about, since they represent the defendant in court cases. As the plaintiff is being represented by the prosecuting attorney in the case at hand, defense lawyers argue on behalf of who he represents, seeking to prove the innocence of their client while knocking down the prosecution’s argument of guilt. for those who seek to defend those accused of a crime, this is the choice of careers in law for them. These were Just a Few of the Careers in LawThese are just but a few careers in law that new lawyers may opt to practice or specialize in after passing the bar exams. While there is a wide variety of careers in law practice to choose from, it never can hurt to choose the field one is most comfortable working with because, after all, careers in law entail long hours of researching, brainstorming, consultations and haggling. One of the popular careers in law as of late is becoming a talent agent. Talent agents are the people who seek employment for actors, film directors, writers, musicians, models and the other people in the entertainment business. Talent agents are also CV writers, they create a quality CV for their client and send it to potential employers. Sports agents are also considered talent agents, but somehow they have evolved into becoming their own category of careers in law rather than being a sub-category of a talent agent’s description.
Although there is no law which states that a particular talent must be represented by a duly acclaimed talent agent for them to land a job, talent agents has become a necessity for artists to find employment because casting directors and other businesses come to talent agencies first to find the right artist they are looking for. This gives a great benefit to those fresh out of law school and adds to the growing number of careers in law to choose from. Talent agents have become the third parties in negotiations between clients and studios or companies. And since talent agencies are working with lucrative contracts, a talent agent with a background in law has a clear advantage over those without. Becoming a talent agent may one of the popular careers in law, but it remains to be one of the most difficult careers to get into if you do not have the necessary social skills, the “gift of gab”, the right connections in the entertainment industry and the patience and perseverance the job requires. Aspiring talent agents who apply to agencies so that they some day may represent the best of the best must begin at the bottom, like working the mailroom, then work their way up to become junior talent agents before being considered full-fledged. For this reason alone, many law graduates tend to seek employment elsewhere once they ran out of patience for running quirky errands such as buying a particular kind of coffee from an obscure coffee shop just because their immediate superior cannot start the day right without it. But for those with the patience of a chopping block, coupled with a tongue dripping with honey, the rewards of becoming a full fledged talent agent is well worth the wait and the leg work. Talent agents are typically paid ten percent of the earnings of a client with every deal the former is able to close. Top talent agents do not represent a single client alone, so their take home pay on an annual basis is often almost at par with the top talent they represent. Talent agents also get to rub elbows with the who’s who of the entertainment industry as they are often invited to attend social gatherings and promotional events sponsored by big companies or studios. This way, they network of connections broaden, thus they are able to provide better service to their current roster of talents and/or their would-be talents. It also helps to remember the clientele of talent agents are not limited to talents alone. It can also extend to the “buyer”. Buyer can be a casting director, a production company or a studio. Many buyers have their pet agencies or talent agents who they hire to seek out the particular talent they require for a project. These talent agents not only get the commission from buyer for finding a talent, but they get paid by the talent as well. It is no wonder then why becoming a talent agent is one of the popular careers in law. |
